Through collaboration with the composer Don Li, in the year 2003 emerged the Tonus String Quartet. The frill-less clear sound of the String Quartet focuses on rhythmic preciseness and accurate linking in the sense of the musical concept Tonus-Music. Due to the enthusiasm for new musical forms and the intense work with Tonus-Music, the musicians, trained from classical to jazz have been able to define a new form of string quartet sound released from nostalgia.
